This green juice recipe pairs sweet, delicious pineapple with fresh spinach, ginger, and lemon for the perfect quick & easy cold-pressed drink to boost your energy and immune system.
Prepare your produce: if your spinach is pre-washed, no need to wash it again. If it's not, you can wash it, but make sure you dry it so that your juice doesn't end up being too watery. Same for the celery. Next, remove the rind of the pineapple by slicing it off using a large knife and cut it into chunks or bigger pieces depending on the kind of juicer you're using. Finally, peel the lemon and remove any visible seeds. The ginger can be juiced with or without the peel (I usually keep it).
Add your produce to the juicer: if you're using a juicer like the Nama J2 or J3, you'll be able to add most of your produce at once. If you're using a different kind of juicer, you'll need to add the pieces one by one. Either way, make sure you add the ginger and spinach first. Smaller and lighter produce is easier to juice if it's followed by bigger and/or heavier pieces like pineapple and celery.
Start juicing: turn on your juicer and let the magic happen!
Serve & enjoy: pour your juice into glasses or jars. For an ice cold refreshment, be sure to add some ice cubes. Enjoy your fresh green juice, ideally with a glass straw.
Notes
This recipe makes about 2 cups/500mL which is one large or two small servings. The exact amount will depend on the size of both your pineapple and celery stalks.
To make this juice sweeter, increase the amount of pineapple and/or reduce the amount of spinach. To make it less sweet, decrease the amount of pineapple and increase the amount of celery and/or spinach.
Any juice leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Just make sure you shake the juice before drinking it if you're storing it in the fridge first.
